Álvaro Cruz took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hélder Amaral. Hélder Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jerônimo Amorim made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Jerônimo Amorim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Terra Média fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Váldson Senna made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Ramiro Moura sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Itamaraca defense, Jerônimo Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hélder Amaral. The Itamaraca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hélder Amaral should have stopped the shot. In the 63rd minute, Álvaro Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerônimo Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélder Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerônimo Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Terra Média's Váldson Senna got control of the ball when Bernardinho Paraense tried to sneak it across the goal line. With 69 minutes on the clock, Vitinho Coutinho commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 69th minute, one of Terra Média:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Terra Média. Váldson Senna had in the 73rdth minute some difficulties stopping Régis de Alcântara's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a long run with the ball, Régis de Alcântara did a trick in the 73rd minute in front of Terra Média's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 3-1. An impressive performance by Itamaraca's Régis de Alcântara! Wilton Negri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Álvaro Cruz made a precise shot to the right of Hélder Amaral. Itamaraca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Teodoro Zanette hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Jerônimo Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Terra Média's Gilberto Recife got a free kick in the 93rd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Itamaraca players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Terra Média.
