Linhares F.C.'s Alan Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Diniz in the 15th minute of play. Donato Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute, Donato Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 25 played minutes Agrestina pe FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Vander. After having played for 30 minutes, Celsinho Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agrestina pe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celsinho Diniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Severino Ferreira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Linhares F.C.'s Alan Queirós. Alan Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alan Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Diniz in the 33rd minute of play. In the 39th minute, Celsinho Diniz made a precise shot to the right of Alan Queirós. Linhares F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donato Freire to make the kick off. Gualter Esteves hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Mário Quintal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredinho Mendes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gualter Esteves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alan Queirós. That made the score 1-3 in the 54 minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Amadeu Paes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Linhares F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Agrestina pe FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Linhares F.C.'s Amadeu Paes got a free kick in the 58th minute. Alan Queirós was a little too slow when Celsinho Diniz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 1-4. César Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 played minutes Agrestina pe FC got a freekick which was hit by Denílson Antunes. In the 69th minute Severino Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alan Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celsinho Diniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Donato Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes of play, Agrestina pe FC's Celsinho Diniz made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alan Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celsinho Diniz struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Alan Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agrestina pe FC. Claudinei Vander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Alan Queirós made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Agrestina pe FC's Claudinei Vander ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alan Queirós. Alan Queirós yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6.
