Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dedê Pinho kicked off to start the match. After 2 played minutes SÓCANELA got a freekick which was hit by Germano Paraibano. After a defensive mix-up in Seixa's zone, Dedê Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mário de Moraes came out of the goal and Dedê Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Váldson Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Rafael Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlinhos Toscano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Váldson Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Mello struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Mário de Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SÓCANELA. In the 21st minute, Faustão Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mário de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedê Pinho in the 21st minute of play. Mário de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dedê Pinho in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mário de Moraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Faustão Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Mota having to interfere. When Beto Vasconcelos fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SÓCANELA's protests and gave Beto Vasconcelos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SÓCANELA getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Beto Vasconcelos hit a great ball. Mário de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedê Pinho in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SÓCANELA's Ivo Félix got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Dedê Pinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SÓCANELA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After the first half SÓCANELA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The audience thought a goal was coming when Dedê Pinho got free with Mário de Moraes in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 60 minutes, Dedê Pinho made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Seixa's Mário de Moraes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Beto Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Rafael Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Váldson Valadares in the 67th minute of the match. Dedê Pinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Mário de Moraes made a huge save. Ivo Paiva hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sílvio Luís Araújo during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Seixa getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sílvio Luís Araújo hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Seixa's goalkeeper Mário de Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedê Pinho. Dedê Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivo Paiva got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 83rd minute, SÓCANELA's Germano Paraibano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Samuel Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário de Moraes having to interfere. Seixa's Mário de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Mello in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Váldson Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seixa's supporters rose to their feet, but Váldson Valadares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Váldson Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rafael Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SÓCANELA's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
