The referee ignored Terra Média's protests and gave Teodoro Zanette a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes Terra Média got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Cruz. The supporters of Agrestina pe FC booed when Terra Média was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlinhos Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Celsinho Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agrestina pe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celsinho Diniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Ferreira in the 21st minute of play forced Terra Média's goalkeeper Váldson Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Wilton Negri notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Agrestina pe FC's Alfredinho Mendes. Alfredinho Mendes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alfredinho Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesinha Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Agrestina pe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cesinha Figueiredo came free, but Alfredinho Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Terra Média's Váldson Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Diniz in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Agrestina pe FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Wilton Negri scored to the left of an out of position Alfredinho Mendes, making the score, 0-2. In the 86th minute, Tiago Gabriel Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yuri Ramos got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Wilton Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Mendes having to interfere. Terra Média's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
