Caracituba's Eugênio Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Vianna in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Caracituba's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Freire came free, but Eugênio Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Britto scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugênio Quirino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donato Freire to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Adhemar Mello made a precise shot to the right of Alan Queirós. Linhares F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After 66 minutes, Túlio Arruda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caracituba and the Linhares F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Caracituba's Túlio Arruda got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 69 minutes of play, Caracituba's Adhemar Mello made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alan Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caracituba's Eugênio Quirino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Caracituba from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dé Queirós got free with Eugênio Quirino in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caracituba's Eugênio Quirino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Caracituba from getting a goal against them. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romário Hermes couldn't finish the play. Eugênio Quirino made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Donato Freire sent off a good shot on target. 90 minutes into the match, Celso Sanches notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Linhares F.C.'s Alan Queirós. Alan Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Caracituba were victorious despite being under pressure from Linhares F.C. for much of the match.
