After a defensive mix-up in Isidoro's zone, Kiko Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesinha Dante came out of the goal and Kiko Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 played minutes Isidoro got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo de Carvalho. Luís Fernando Moreira charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Fernando Moreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SÃO PAULO FC booed when Isidoro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dennis Zarrella came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the SÃO PAULO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Zarrella couldn't finish the play. Cesinha Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kiko Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Zeca Nogueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesinha Dante having to make a save. Dennis Zarrella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Cesinha Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dennis Zarrella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesinha Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Zarrella in the 69th minute of the match. Teodoro Dantas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 70th minute. Isidoro's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kiko Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Dante having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Zarrella in the 75th minute of play forced Isidoro's goalkeeper Cesinha Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Zarrella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cesinha Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesinha Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Zarrella in the 86th minute of play. Geovânio Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. SÃO PAULO FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
