SÃO PAULO FC's Romário Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Maria Barros in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Massa Bruta's José Maria Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romário Brasil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romário Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Barros in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Diogo Matorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diogo Matorin struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Romário Brasil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Massa Bruta. Romário Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Kiko Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Massa Bruta's Rômulo Correia got a free kick in the 60th minute. José Maria Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Romário Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Dennis Zarrella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Genílson Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Massa Bruta's Túlio Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Zarrella in the 81st minute of play. If Dennis Zarrella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Zarrella kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Ciro França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, SÃO PAULO FC's Genílson Barreto tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Massa Bruta supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Massa Bruta would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
