After the first half vitoria u17 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edu Alves to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edu Alves got free with Amadeu Linares in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 55 minutes into the match, Sport Recife's goalkeeper Amadeu Linares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edu Alves. Armandinho Gaúcho lost his temper 95 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 96 played minutes, vitoria u17's Guilherme Mazza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amadeu Linares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in vitoria u17 reached it. The vitoria u17 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
