In the 17th minute, Diogo Matorin made a precise shot to the right of Adalberto Rosa. Navirai's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. José Maria Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Maria Barros struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Adalberto Rosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Massa Bruta. José Maria Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Rosa having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Massa Bruta's José Maria Barros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adalberto Rosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Massa Bruta's Ronaldão dos Santos suffered a sore thigh after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Osmar de Salles fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Navirai's protests and gave Osmar de Salles a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Navirai got a freekick which was hit by Osmar de Salles. Diogo Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Rosa having to interfere. Nico Camargo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When Ronaldinho Valle came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Navirai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldinho Valle couldn't finish the play. Manuel Silva took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Túlio Torres. Túlio Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diogo Matorin made a kick off. Túlio Torres came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Navirai's Manuel Silva. But to his dismay, Manuel Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Lúcio Guimarães's late challenge caught a Massa Bruta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lúcio Guimarães helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Diogo Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Massa Bruta's supporters rose to their feet, but Diogo Matorin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adalberto Rosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute, Diogo Matorin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Adalberto Rosa, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Navirai getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Osmar de Salles hit a great ball. In the 70th minute Lúcio Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Túlio Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rômulo Correia came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Massa Bruta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rômulo Correia couldn't finish the play. Rômulo Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Rosa having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Massa Bruta's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Silva came free, but Túlio Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Diogo Matorin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adalberto Rosa was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Túlio Torres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osmar de Salles went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 88th minute Osmar de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Túlio Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Navirai booed when Massa Bruta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro França didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Ismael Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Navirai's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Capixaba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Túlio Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rômulo Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Adalberto Rosa made a huge save. Massa Bruta's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
