When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaston Balesio made a kick off. If Marquinhos de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Luisinho Ferraz came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Samambaia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisinho Ferraz couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Gaston Balesio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mimosos's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaston Balesio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Léo Siqueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92ndth minute of the game Luisinho Ferraz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mimosos's Luís Bezerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gaston Balesio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Léo Siqueira made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Samambaia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mimosos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
