Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) SKGRN's Tostão Marques started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Felipe Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Netto in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of SKGRN booed when Imbiara EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Zé Pedro dos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Imbiara EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SKGRN the free kick. Diego Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Dias having to interfere. After 25 played minutes SKGRN got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Cabral. After a defensive mix-up in SKGRN's zone, Diego Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Dias came out of the goal and Diego Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, Genílson Netto made a precise shot to the right of Felipe Dias. SKGRN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 41 minutes into the match, Imbiara EC's goalkeeper Edvaldo Guedes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Macedo. Abel Macedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Edvaldo Guedes made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Genílson Netto to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Genílson Netto in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe Dias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Tostão Marques came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the SKGRN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tostão Marques couldn't finish the play. The supporters of SKGRN booed when Imbiara EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sílvio Castro hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Tostão Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Guedes having to interfere. Abel Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 73rd minute, Edson Silveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edvaldo Guedes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Válter Maranhense's late challenge caught a SKGRN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Válter Maranhense helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Imbiara EC's Válter Maranhense got a free kick in the 78th minute. Edvaldo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
