Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo José Amaral to make the kick off. The referee ignored Real Sertões F.C's protests and gave Luiz Paulo Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes Real Sertões F.C got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Alcântara. Luiz Paulo Alcântara got his second yellow card in the match during the 64th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 64 played minutes Real Sertões F.C got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Alcântara. Doctor X's Luiz Fernando Ceresso got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Doctor X fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Trigo should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Doctor X getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Luiz Fernando Ceresso hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Toninho Cearense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Toninho Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Trigo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Prata during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paulo José Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Luís Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Doctor X's zone, Toninho Cearense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Trigo came out of the goal and Toninho Cearense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Real Sertões F.C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Doctor X.
