A wasted opportunity for S.E Paineira Branca. Raí Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bernardo Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomé Leme hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A collision led to Mandaguari SC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Dalmo Godoi hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as S.E Paineira Branca's Hasan Hüseyin Alkım slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernardo Montenegro. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. When Hélio Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the S.E Paineira Branca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélio Antunes couldn't finish the play. Bernardo Montenegro was a little too slow when Hasan Hüseyin Alkım got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-0. When Alfredão Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Mandaguari SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredão Pirani couldn't finish the play. Edson de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiaguinho Almeida in the 42nd minute of the match. Dalmo Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson de Azevedo having to interfere. Edson de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robinho Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiaguinho Almeida got free with Edson de Azevedo in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiaguinho Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Edson de Azevedo made a huge save. In the 81st minute of the match, Dalmo Godoi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edson de Azevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
