The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dalmo Godoi took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Tróia. Paulo Tróia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Tiaguinho Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Paulo Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiaguinho Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiaguinho Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Bola FC defense, Dalmo Godoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Tróia. The Bola FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Tróia should have stopped the shot. If Raphael Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 25 minutes into the game, Tiaguinho Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Paulo Tróia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Dalmo Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Mandaguari SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalmo Godoi couldn't finish the play. After 34 minutes of play, Bola FC's Gilmar Dante made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardo Montenegro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 36 played minutes Mandaguari SC got a freekick which was hit by Dalmo Godoi. When Gilmar Dante, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 38 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Bernardo Montenegro was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, Gilmar Dante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Bernardo Montenegro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Paulo Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmo Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Mandaguari SC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 57th match minute, Bola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Santana to maneuver through the defense. If Tiaguinho Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mandaguari SC's Dalmo Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Bola FC booed when Mandaguari SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomé Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute of the match Gilmar Dante sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardo Montenegro skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Mandaguari SC's Alfredão Pirani got a free kick in the 67th minute. After 69 minutes, Gilmar Dante made it 3-3 with a short kick to the right side. Mandaguari SC's Bernardo Montenegro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Dalmo Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mandaguari SC's protests and gave Dalmo Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, Dalmo Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Gilmar Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmo Godoi in the 82nd minute of the match. Mandaguari SC's Bernardo Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Dante in the 96th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bola FC fully deserved thier win.
