Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorginho Miranda in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chicão Hoffmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chicão Hoffmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorginho Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 13th minute Beto Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chicão Hoffmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiago Gabriel Torres during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Aroeira AD's zone, Romário Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliézer Tavares came out of the goal and Romário Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Carioca in the 43rd minute of play forced Aroeira AD's goalkeeper Eliézer Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Topazio EC booed when Aroeira AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celsinho Tande made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Topazio EC's Beto Carioca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliézer Tavares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Eliézer Tavares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beto Carioca went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Topazio EC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Beto Carioca hit a great ball. Eliézer Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Reis in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Romário Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Víktor Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Aroeira AD's Eliézer Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Carioca in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Topazio EC's Tiago Gabriel Torres got a free kick in the 79th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ademir Zanette during the 88th minute. Geovanni Vergílio's late challenge caught a Aroeira AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
