Conrado de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luís Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Conrado de Salles made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Arí de Salles sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Profeta SS's Arí de Salles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Conrado de Salles. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. When Agostinho Souto fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oficial American Club's protests and gave Agostinho Souto a yellow card for diving instead. Agostinho Souto hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Conrado de Salles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arí de Salles in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute, Adrianinho Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Profeta SS's Cacá Duarte shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 22nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Conrado de Salles but with some difficulty. Conrado de Salles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arí de Salles in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Dalmo dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oficial American Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo dos Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Álvaro Saraiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dalmo dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Saraiva having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Dalmo dos Santos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oficial American Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Dalmo dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Fábio Cavalcante during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Profeta SS getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Luís Fábio Cavalcante hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Nestor de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sydney de Amorim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Conrado de Salles. Oficial American Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Dalmo dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrianinho Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Saraiva having to interfere.

The wind increased when Dalmo dos Santos made the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Carlos Vargas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conrado de Salles. Oficial American Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Vargas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Osvaldo Coutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Álvaro Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th play minute Dalmo dos Santos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Álvaro Saraiva. 2-2. In the 61st minute, André Luís Vargas made a precise shot to the right of Conrado de Salles. Oficial American Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Dalmo dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Saraiva having to interfere. André Luís Vargas took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Conrado de Salles. Conrado de Salles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Conrado de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Vargas in the 71st minute of play. Álvaro Saraiva came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Oficial American Club's Dalmo dos Santos. But to his dismay, Dalmo dos Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. 78 minutes into the match, Oficial American Club's goal looked a bit too open when Arí de Salles came free, but Conrado de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Vargas in the 81st minute of play forced Oficial American Club's goalkeeper Conrado de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Dalmo dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oficial American Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmo dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute Arí de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd match minute, Oficial American Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Many of Oficial American Club's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Oficial American Club may have spent more time on the ball, but Profeta SS were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
