José Maria Freire made a great header on Tricolor Fc's corner, it was just that Profeta SS's Álvaro Saraiva managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, Profeta SS's Álvaro Saraiva got control of the ball when Enrique França tried to sneak it across the goal line. Álvaro Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique França in the 30th minute of play. Tricolor Fc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sydney de Amorim ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Luís Fábio Cavalcante put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Manoel Pirani. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Luís Vargas to make the kick off. Arí de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arí de Salles in the 55th minute of play forced Tricolor Fc's goalkeeper Manoel Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manoel Pirani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arí de Salles went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Álvaro Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique França in the 59th minute of the match. In the 66th minute André Luís Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes Profeta SS got a freekick which was hit by Adilson Gerber. After 73 played minutes, Tricolor Fc's José Maria Freire shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Álvaro Saraiva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tricolor Fc reached it. Enrique França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adilson Gerber was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Profeta SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! In the 79th minute there was a penalty for Tricolor Fc. José Maria Freire stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Álvaro Saraiva. 3-3. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Arí de Salles took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Manoel Pirani to make any attempt to save it. Evaristo de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Álvaro Saraiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique França's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 4-4 when Evaristo de Mendonça sped through Profeta SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Álvaro Saraiva. With a little luck, Tricolor Fc's Manoel Pirani got control of the ball when Arí de Salles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Profeta SS were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Tricolor Fc to leave the ground with a draw.
