Cristiano Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Iuri Sarmento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The invictus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Luciano Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Prata having to interfere. Sérgio Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andi Abend, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The supporters of Corinthians Paulista booed when invictus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 81st minute, Vito Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio Cearense was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-3.
