Adrianinho Monteiro scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabinho Terra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jano Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jano Ramos took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabinho Terra. Fabinho Terra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 21 minutes into the game, Oficial American Club's Nestor de Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabinho Terra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Conrado de Salles was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Dragomir Borovinov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dragomir Borovinov really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Osvaldo Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Adrianinho Monteiro in the 29th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. CELESTE's Isaltino Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oficial American Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tiaguinho Ortiz in the 48th minute. A nice corner shot did that Tiaguinho Ortiz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabinho Terra quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jano Ramos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Oficial American Club booed when CELESTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Gabriel Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Coutinho got free with Fabinho Terra in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, CELESTE's Isaltino Pombal got a free kick in the 62nd minute. CELESTE's Fabinho Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agostinho Souto in the 66th minute of play. After 70 played minutes CELESTE got a freekick which was hit by Rubinho Berger. Fabinho Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrianinho Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabinho Terra having to interfere. Jano Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, CELESTE's Fabinho Terra got control of the ball when Osvaldo Coutinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Osvaldo Coutinho made a precise shot to the right of Fabinho Terra. CELESTE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. Fabinho Terra made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Osvaldo Coutinho sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Fabinho Terra managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Oficial American Club's Adrianinho Monteiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The CELESTE fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Oficial American Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
