Thanks to some nice moves Clemente dos Santos could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Adriano Britto however easily saved by the left post. After 5 minutes Thunder Palmeiras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Clemente dos Santos who took care of the corner kick. Leandro Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Jaguaré FC's Matias Abbondanzieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Afonso in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Jaguaré FC's goal looked a bit too open when Irinel Codrea came free, but Matias Abbondanzieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Irinel Codrea put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Matias Abbondanzieri. In the 14thth minute of the game Irinel Codrea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jaguaré FC's Matias Abbondanzieri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Thunder Palmeiras's goalkeeper Adriano Britto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the game, Irinel Codrea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thunder Palmeiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaguaré FC the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Thunder Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irinel Codrea to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute of the match Jaguaré FC got a corner. Thunder Palmeiras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Clemente dos Santos ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Jaguaré FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Leandro Nascimento hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the game, Thunder Palmeiras's Irinel Codrea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matias Abbondanzieri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Matias Abbondanzieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovani Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Belmiro Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Abbondanzieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Jarbas de Alcântara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adriano Britto. Jarbas de Alcântara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 46th minute Emanuele Caccia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Freitas struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Matias Abbondanzieri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thunder Palmeiras. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Irinel Codrea was the one to do the kick off. Thunder Palmeiras's Giovani Vargas got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Irinel Codrea in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matias Abbondanzieri, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 55 minutes into the match, Irinel Codrea notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Jaguaré FC's Matias Abbondanzieri. Matias Abbondanzieri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thunder Palmeiras made a substitution. Delfim Tinoco replaced Emanuel Freitas. Clemente dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Adriano Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Germano de Queirós in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matias Abbondanzieri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matias Abbondanzieri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Belmiro Alvarenga in the 77th minute. Matias Abbondanzieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Vargas in the 78th minute of play. Matias Abbondanzieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Jaguaré FC's Matias Abbondanzieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Afonso in the 87th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Thunder Palmeiras's Teo Afonso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Matias Abbondanzieri. That made the score 1-5 after 88 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Irinel Codrea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matias Abbondanzieri was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Duda Vinhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Teo Afonso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thunder Palmeiras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6.
