In the 6thth minute of the game Gigi Covaci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guerreiros da Real's Reginaldo Guimarães was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Barry Ellershaw kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guerreiros da Real's goalkeeper Reginaldo Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19thth minute of the game Gigi Covaci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guerreiros da Real's Reginaldo Guimarães was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gigi Covaci sped through Guerreiros da Real's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reginaldo Guimarães. Reginaldo Guimarães came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Jequi's João Pedro Prata. But to his dismay, João Pedro Prata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Donato Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Carlos Ramalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gigi Covaci in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reginaldo Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rúben Trigueiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafa Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Jequi's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos Ramalho came free, but Rúben Trigueiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigi Covaci in the 74th minute of play forced Guerreiros da Real's goalkeeper Reginaldo Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Guerreiros da Real getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Décio Dracena hit a great ball. Vicente Marques might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reginaldo Guimarães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vicente Marques ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gigi Covaci in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reginaldo Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barry Ellershaw came free in the 90th minute and tried to tip the ball over Reginaldo Guimarães, but to the joy of Guerreiros da Real's supporters the ball went over. João Pedro Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo Guimarães having to interfere.
