NOVORIZONTINO's Dé Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafa Matos in the 25th minute of play. Dé Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Mesquita in the 29th minute of play. Luís Fábio Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michel Britto to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, NOVORIZONTINO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tales Arruda to maneuver through the defense. Reginaldo Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dé Correia stood somewhat misplaced when Zé Carlos Ramalho came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 67 minute. Matías Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo Guimarães having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, NOVORIZONTINO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Almeida to maneuver through the defense. After 80 minutes, Michel Britto made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Guerreiros da Real's Reginaldo Guimarães tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. NOVORIZONTINO's Leandro Braga got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, NOVORIZONTINO's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Ortiz came free, but Dé Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Alonzo Herena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, NOVORIZONTINO could leave the field as winners, despite Guerreiros da Real having more of the ball for most of the match.
