An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão da Costa in the 36th minute of play forced NOVORIZONTINO's goalkeeper Dé Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to NOVORIZONTINO getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. José Pedro Almeida hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Tostão da Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dé Correia was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After the first half Leme Chargers were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michel Britto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Britto in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maicon Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
