An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos Ramalho in the 9th minute of play forced vai quem quer's goalkeeper Perivaldo Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafa Matos got free with Perivaldo Barros in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gerson Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Reginaldo Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerson Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denílson Paraíba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex de Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex de Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of vai quem quer booed when Guerreiros da Real was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Raimundo de Mendonça shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reginaldo Guimarães showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Guerreiros da Real's goalkeeper Reginaldo Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adhemar Mesquita's late challenge caught a vai quem quer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adhemar Mesquita helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd match minute, Guerreiros da Real was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adhemar Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. Narciso Santana took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reginaldo Guimarães. Reginaldo Guimarães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Gerson Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 minutes, Gerson Simões made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Guerreiros da Real's Reginaldo Guimarães tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Carlos Ramalho to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Juninho Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. vai quem quer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juninho Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Guerreiros da Real's Manfredo Mello got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Guerreiros da Real's zone, Gerson Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reginaldo Guimarães came out of the goal and Gerson Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Narciso Santana came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the vai quem quer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Santana couldn't finish the play. vai quem quer's Denílson Paraíba got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Gerson Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot. vai quem quer's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerson Simões was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reginaldo Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denílson Paraíba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Reginaldo Guimarães made a huge save. Gerson Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo Guimarães having to interfere. With a little luck, Guerreiros da Real's Reginaldo Guimarães got control of the ball when Narciso Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. vai quem quer's Gerson Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Guerreiros da Real's goalkeeper Reginaldo Guimarães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narciso Santana. After 93 played minutes Guerreiros da Real got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Mello. 94 minutes into the game, Juninho Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. vai quem quer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guerreiros da Real the free kick. After a rather tough play, vai quem quer's Juninho Souza got a free kick in the 95th minute.
