The supporters of A. Jurupoca booed when NOVORIZONTINO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benê Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dé Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Gomes in the 13th minute of play. José Pedro Almeida hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Júlio Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the game, one of A. Jurupoca:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave NOVORIZONTINO a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Benê Velasco, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of A. Jurupoca's Sérgio Barbosa. 0-1. In the 44th minute, José Pedro Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Júlio Massa made the kick off in the second half. Sérgio Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Britto in the 56th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, João Augusto Dracena made a precise shot to the right of Sérgio Barbosa. A. Jurupoca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 66 played minutes NOVORIZONTINO got a freekick which was hit by Michel Britto. Armandinho Moreira hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. If João Augusto Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, A. Jurupoca's Marcelo Mesquita got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 88thth minute of the game Michel Britto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A. Jurupoca's Sérgio Barbosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Júlio Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A. Jurupoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Massa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched NOVORIZONTINO eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
