Evert Jansson scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sandrinho Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Telmo Melo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ♫ A Kind of Magic ♫ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ibitinga's Juan Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jo Wild in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute, one of Ibitinga:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ibitinga. In the 31st minute, Evert Jansson made a precise shot to the right of Jorge do Vale. ♫ A Kind of Magic ♫'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Guto Campidelis took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Leme. Juan Leme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. A hard shot 41 in the game by Evert Jansson from a close distance when the talented Jorge do Vale managed to make a qualified save. ♫ A Kind of Magic ♫'s players were relieved. Teodoro Linares took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge do Vale. Jorge do Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Jorge do Vale made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Teodoro Linares sent off a good shot on target. Evert Jansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Jorge do Vale made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodoro Linares made a kick off. Juan Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualter Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guto Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Telmo Melo got free with Juan Leme in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Ibitinga getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Breno dos Santos hit a great ball. Osvaldinho Tinoco came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Juan Leme could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Jansson in the 66th minute of play forced ♫ A Kind of Magic ♫'s goalkeeper Jorge do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute Telmo Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Ibitinga's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Melo came free, but Juan Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Ibitinga's goalkeeper Juan Leme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guto Campidelis. When Ricardo Araújo fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibitinga's protests and gave Ricardo Araújo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute of the match Telmo Melo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Leme skillfully saved the ball. Jo Wild scored 3-4 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Leme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
