The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Fábio Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulão Domingues in the 21st minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Fedegoso FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Vidal. Esporte Clube Vitória's Luís Fábio Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Vidal in the 26th minute of play. Luís Fábio Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulão Domingues in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Logan Bain had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antônio Tepedino. Fedegoso FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Logan Bain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Luís Fábio Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gualter Tinoco went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Esporte Clube Vitória's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Alfredão Travassos scored to the left of an out of position Luís Fábio Costa, making the score, 2-2. Logan Bain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, Reynaldo Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Fedegoso FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Paulo Maia hit a great ball. Luís Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
