Juan Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute Luís Fabiano Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hílton Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ibitinga's Breno dos Santos got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 13th minute, Luís Fabiano Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jardel Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Juan Leme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breno dos Santos's late challenge caught a Real Astoria FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Breno dos Santos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Real Astoria FC booed when Ibitinga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ibitinga's Juan Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hílton Pinho in the 22nd minute of play. Juan Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Luís Fabiano Vidal notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ibitinga's Juan Leme. Juan Leme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Ibitinga getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Breno dos Santos hit a great ball. Guilherme Lopes scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Leme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juan Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fabiano Vidal in the 38th minute of the match. Ibitinga's Juan Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hílton Pinho in the 40th minute of play. Guilherme Lopes took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Leme. Juan Leme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fabiano Vidal in the 46th minute of play forced Ibitinga's goalkeeper Juan Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Real Astoria FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodoro Linares made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Ibitinga's Tzvyatko Lichkov got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Juan Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Machado in the 53rd minute of play. If Guilherme Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Real Astoria FC defense, Evert Jansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toninho Mangueira. The Real Astoria FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toninho Mangueira should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute, Alberto Varela left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibitinga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. In the 63rd minute Evert Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Mangueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Linares took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toninho Mangueira. Toninho Mangueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. After a defensive mix-up in Real Astoria FC's zone, Alberto Varela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toninho Mangueira came out of the goal and Alberto Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ibitinga's Juan Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fabiano Vidal in the 80th minute of play. Teodoro Linares took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toninho Mangueira. Toninho Mangueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Sandro Neves made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ibitinga's Ricardo Araújo. Juan Leme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Lopes in the 88th minute. Evert Jansson hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the game, Sandro Neves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juan Leme. Sandro Neves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-4. After some careless play in the Ibitinga defense, Hílton Pinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Leme. The Ibitinga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Leme should have stopped the shot. Real Astoria FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
