Luís Fábio Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Corinthians Taboao's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ramiro Gerber in the 26th minute. Ramiro Gerber made a great header on SC Corinthians Taboao's corner, it was just that Esporte Clube Vitória's Luís Fábio Costa managed to reach the ball for a save. Richard Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Logan Bain in the 28th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Logan Bain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esporte Clube Vitória's supporters rose to their feet, but Logan Bain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
