In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varjoia SC's goalkeeper Christiano Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Varjoia SC's Hortêncio Botelho got a free kick in the 5th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Varjoia SC's zone, Kléber Moreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiano Nunes came out of the goal and Kléber Moreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuno de Barros scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christiano Nunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Léo Simão during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Léo Simão hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 13 played minutes Varjoia SC got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo Mangueira. If Roger Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by César Lara during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd minute, César Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Varjoia SC's Christiano Nunes got control of the ball when Zeca Gad tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zeca Gad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christiano Nunes made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Nuno de Barros sent off a good shot on target. Kléber Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Christiano Nunes made a huge save. If Walmir Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the game, Kléber Moreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zoiudo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varjoia SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Zoiudo's Kléber Moreira got a free kick in the 38th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hortêncio Botelho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kléber Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiano Nunes having to interfere. After 61 minutes of play, Zoiudo's Nuno de Barros made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christiano Nunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nuno de Barros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christiano Nunes having to make a save. Tony Silveira got a throw-in 67 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Roger Lucas. In the 72nd minute, Nuno de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Zoiudo's Zeca Gad in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Varjoia SC's goalie prevented a goal. Christiano Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Varjoia SC defense, Kléber Moreira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christiano Nunes. The Varjoia SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christiano Nunes should have stopped the shot. Hortêncio Botelho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gil Lopes having to make a save. When César Lara was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Varjoia SC's César Lara got a free kick in the 96th minute. Zoiudo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
