Marquinhos Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrézinho Perez might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marquinhos Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrézinho Perez ran back to his position shaking his head. Vítor Meirelles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ronaldo Bezerra firmly grabbed it by the left post. 21 minutes into the game, Cássio Veloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fla Merda FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Os Meio Bruxo the free kick. Cássio Veloso hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Raimundo Fernandez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ronaldo Bezerra. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. Ronaldo Bezerra made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Luís Guilherme de Amaral sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute Andrézinho Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marquinhos Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Luiz Fernando Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marquinhos Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Os Meio Bruxo getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Henrique Freitas hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Fla Merda FC's goalkeeper Ronaldo Bezerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Guilherme de Amaral. After 47 played minutes Os Meio Bruxo got a freekick which was hit by Walmir da Costa. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Álvaro Prata to make the kick off. Donato Domingues hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Marquinhos Sousa made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Thiago da Mata sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the match, Fla Merda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Prata came free, but Ronaldo Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fla Merda FC's Nestor Silva suffered a sprained foot after 66 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 66 minutes into the game, Vítor Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Os Meio Bruxo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fla Merda FC the free kick. A collision led to Os Meio Bruxo getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Vítor Meirelles hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Os Meio Bruxo's Raimundo Fernandez got a free kick in the 68th minute. Marquinhos Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Domingues in the 76th minute. Ronaldo Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Meirelles in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Donato Domingues recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marquinhos Sousa. Donato Domingues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 88th minute, Fla Merda FC's Andrézinho Perez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. A hard, long distance shot from Andrézinho Perez flew over the goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Álvaro Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Os Meio Bruxo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro Prata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
