The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sydney Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, DC Olina's Perivaldo de Queiroz got a free kick in the 7th minute. José Augusto Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luizão Brito in the 10th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, José Augusto Almeida successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Perivaldo de Queiroz's late challenge caught a Real-Matismo F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perivaldo de Queiroz helped the player get up and apologised. Perivaldo de Queiroz hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Sydney Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Adriano Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perivaldo de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maurinho Medeiros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adriano Pinheiro. Real-Matismo F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. José Augusto Almeida made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Igor Guedes sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes into the match, Real-Matismo F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy Dantas came free, but Adriano Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Sydney Chaves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DC Olina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 28th minute, Vítor Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. DC Olina's José Augusto Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel de Godoi in the 31st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Sydney Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot. DC Olina's supporters rose to their feet, but Sydney Chaves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriano Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38thth minute of the game Sydney Chaves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real-Matismo F.C's Adriano Pinheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 47th play minute Igor Guedes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised José Augusto Almeida. 1-1.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sydney Chaves in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adriano Pinheiro saved Real-Matismo F.C from getting behind. If Sydney Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sydney Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Perivaldo de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DC Olina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perivaldo de Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sydney Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Adriano Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of DC Olina booed when Real-Matismo F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizão Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adriano Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 84th minute, Perivaldo de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aloísio da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Pinheiro having to interfere. Real-Matismo F.C's Adriano Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo de Queiroz in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Maurício Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot. DC Olina's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurício Freire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 96th minute, Ruy Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Many of DC Olina's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. DC Olina may have spent more time on the ball, but Real-Matismo F.C were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
