Eduardo Vianna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marquinhos Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Desportivo Apollo XIII was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Machado to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Desportivo Apollo XIII's Víktor de Souza got control of the ball when Vítor Meirelles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Víktor de Souza made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Dito do Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. Os Meio Bruxo's Marquinhos Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caio Machado in the 24th minute of play. Vítor Meirelles's late challenge caught a Desportivo Apollo XIII's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marquinhos Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fernando Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Marquinhos Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Paraibano in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marquinhos Sousa saved Os Meio Bruxo from getting behind. Henrique Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henrique Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute, Henrique Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Paraibano to strike the kick off in the second half. Os Meio Bruxo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Chiquinho Fantini scored to the left of an out of position Marquinhos Sousa, making the score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquinho Fantini in the 57th minute of play forced Os Meio Bruxo's goalkeeper Marquinhos Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Os Meio Bruxo's Marquinhos Sousa got control of the ball when Eduardo Vianna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marquinhos Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Paraibano in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Os Meio Bruxo's Dito do Nascimento got a free kick in the 67th minute. Fernando Paraibano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marquinhos Sousa came out and tried to block the shot, but Fernando Paraibano slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 73rd minute. With his leg Marquinhos Sousa managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Desportivo Apollo XIII's Caio Machado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Desportivo Apollo XIII's Eduardo Vianna got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 80 played minutes Os Meio Bruxo got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Meirelles. Eduardo Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos Sousa having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Desportivo Apollo XIII's Eduardo Vianna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marquinhos Sousa. Marquinhos Sousa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5.
