The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Afonsinho Favoretto was a little too slow when Evandro Meira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Esam Al Ramzi took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Afonsinho Favoretto to make any attempt to save it. Evandro Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esam Al Ramzi in the 24th minute of play forced Andresa's goalkeeper Afonsinho Favoretto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonsinho Favoretto made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Téo da Cunha sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Esam Al Ramzi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Afonsinho Favoretto. That made the score 3-0 in the 27 minute of play. Afonsinho Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Meira in the 36th minute of the match. Afonsinho Favoretto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evandro Meira went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Afonsinho Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo da Cunha in the 41st minute of the match. Afonsinho Favoretto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Pouso alegre booed when Andresa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toninho Alagoano scored 5-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonsinho Favoretto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubinho Araújo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, Pouso alegre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. Afonsinho Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizinho Santana in the 61st minute of the match. Afonsinho Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After some careless play in the Andresa defense, Evandro Meira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonsinho Favoretto. The Andresa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonsinho Favoretto should have stopped the shot.
