Pouso alegre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jucati FC the free kick. Esam Al Ramzi kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Aílton Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Evandro Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aílton Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Pena having to interfere. Evandro Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton Damião in the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, Pouso alegre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. After 26 played minutes Pouso alegre got a freekick which was hit by Esam Al Ramzi. The supporters of Jucati FC booed when Pouso alegre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Téo da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aílton Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Evandro Meira might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valério Salles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evandro Meira ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute, Luisinho Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evandro Meira in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valério Salles saved Jucati FC from getting behind. In the 41st match minute, Jucati FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton França to maneuver through the defense. Pouso alegre's Luizinho Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Oliveira in the 45th minute of play forced Pouso alegre's goalkeeper Evandro Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evandro Meira to strike the kick off in the second half. Caetano Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mario Ramadhonna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Valério Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Jucati FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Ramadhonna came free, but Valério Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jucati FC's Valério Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Meira in the 65th minute of play. When Esam Al Ramzi came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Pouso alegre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esam Al Ramzi couldn't finish the play. Elói Vargas's late challenge caught a Pouso alegre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elói Vargas helped the player get up and apologised. 68 minutes into the game, one of Jucati FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jucati FC:s Valério Salles showed great skill when he stopped Luizinho Santana:s penalty. Evandro Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adelino Carneiro's late challenge caught a Pouso alegre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adelino Carneiro helped the player get up and apologised. Caetano Oliveira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Evandro Pena when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 85 minutes into the game, Pouso alegre's Mario Ramadhonna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valério Salles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Toninho Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Jucati FC booed when Pouso alegre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evandro Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jucati FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pouso alegre.
