Spectators: 7135 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 52) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cássio Félix made the kick off which started today's match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ian da Silveira during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 6 played minutes Catipora got a freekick which was hit by Ian da Silveira. With a little luck, Catipora's Túlio Capixaba got control of the ball when Cássio Félix tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dinei Motta during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dinei Motta got his second yellow card in the match during the 14th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 15th match minute, Catipora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Motta to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cássio Félix got free with Túlio Capixaba in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 17 played minutes Catipora got a freekick which was hit by Ian da Silveira. 18 minutes into the match, Catipora's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Fantini came free, but Túlio Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cássio Félix scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Túlio Capixaba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arthur Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Túlio Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raphael Fantini's late challenge caught a Catipora's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raphael Fantini helped the player get up and apologised. After 33 played minutes Beberibe got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Fantini. Túlio Capixaba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Catipora's Breno Vieira tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Túlio Capixaba made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Cássio Félix sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Luís da Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. Catipora's Pedro Luís da Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raphael Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Túlio Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 minutes, Isaltino Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catipora and the Beberibe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Raphael Fantini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Túlio Capixaba. Catipora's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cássio Félix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Túlio Capixaba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Catipora got a freekick which was hit by Isaltino Martins. Cássio Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Capixaba having to interfere. Breno Vieira hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, Isaltino Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raphael Fantini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Túlio Capixaba. Catipora's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Félix in the 83rd minute of play forced Catipora's goalkeeper Túlio Capixaba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Catipora's Ivo Chaves seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ivo Chaves the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Catipora protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ivo Chaves had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Catipora fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! Cássio Félix's late challenge caught a Catipora's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cássio Félix helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, Beberibe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Félix to maneuver through the defense. Túlio Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Félix in the 96th minute of play.
