The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice moves Silas Arantes could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Şenol Yaren however easily saved by the left post. Sérgio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GRASSHOPPERS F.C's Şenol Yaren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save GRASSHOPPERS F.C from getting a goal against them. Donato Marques took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şenol Yaren. Şenol Yaren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The supporters of BMB IMOVEIS SC booed when GRASSHOPPERS F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, GRASSHOPPERS F.C's goalkeeper Şenol Yaren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silas Arantes. The supporters of BMB IMOVEIS SC booed when GRASSHOPPERS F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diguinho Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute of the match Elano Simões shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Şenol Yaren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Silas Arantes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şenol Yaren was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of GRASSHOPPERS F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of BMB IMOVEIS SC:s goal. Şenol Yaren made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Yan Leite sent off a good shot on target. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Donato Marques was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 43rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Jeremias de Castro hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donato Marques to strike the kick off in the second half. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Silas Arantes got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Silas Arantes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Şenol Yaren. GRASSHOPPERS F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silas Arantes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. GRASSHOPPERS F.C were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after BMB IMOVEIS SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Elder Andrade took the corner. The corner led GRASSHOPPERS F.C's Elder Andrade to fire away a dangerous shot which Sérgio de Azevedo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Şenol Yaren came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by BMB IMOVEIS SC's Silas Arantes. But to his dismay, Silas Arantes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Marques in the 69th minute of play forced GRASSHOPPERS F.C's goalkeeper Şenol Yaren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Donato Marques made a precise shot to the right of Şenol Yaren. GRASSHOPPERS F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. 76 minutes into the match, GRASSHOPPERS F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Arantes came free, but Şenol Yaren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silas Arantes took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şenol Yaren. Şenol Yaren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. After 84 minutes of play, BMB IMOVEIS SC's Silas Arantes made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Şenol Yaren was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the GRASSHOPPERS F.C defense, Silas Arantes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şenol Yaren. The GRASSHOPPERS F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şenol Yaren should have stopped the shot. 92 minutes into the match, Silas Arantes notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of GRASSHOPPERS F.C's Şenol Yaren. Şenol Yaren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 95 minutes into the match, GRASSHOPPERS F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Marques came free, but Şenol Yaren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
