The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfredinho Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Brodel in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 8th match minute, Bactéria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Carlinhos Bueno hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Dadá Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Barbosa having to interfere. Arí de Carvalho hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Dadá Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miranga EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dadá Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, Guilherme Brodel made a precise shot to the right of Alfredinho Ribeiro. Miranga EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Carlinhos Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Miranga EC booed when Bactéria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Bactéria's goalkeeper Ciro Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dadá Dantas. Guilherme Brodel charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guilherme Brodel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bactéria's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Júlio Souto scored to the left of an out of position Ciro Barbosa, making the score, 1-3. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dadá Dantas to make the kick off. Miranga EC's Alfredinho Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Paranaense in the 51st minute of play. In the 51st minute, Breno Siqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the game, João Adolfo Donato recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfredinho Ribeiro. João Adolfo Donato showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. 61 minutes into the match, Miranga EC's goalkeeper Alfredinho Ribeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guilherme Brodel. 64 minutes into the game, Nuno Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bactéria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miranga EC the free kick. A collision led to Bactéria getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Nuno Cruz hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Souto in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciro Barbosa saved Bactéria from getting behind. Ciro Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dadá Dantas in the 82nd minute of play. Edgar Coutinho charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
