Henrique Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Carioca in the 13th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Indios SS's Hernani Sanches slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Henrique Pires. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. Henrique Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Henrique Pires made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hernani Sanches in the 22nd minute. Valdomiro Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roberto Tinoco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdomiro Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. 34 minutes into the game, Edinho Camargo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Indios SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shamrock United the free kick. Edinho Camargo hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. When Valdomiro Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Shamrock United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdomiro Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Shamrock United's Jefferson Bezerra got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Indios SS's Emílio Soares pulled a muscle in his leg after 45 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 45 minutes, Lenílson Veloso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shamrock United and the Indios SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Shamrock United getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Lenílson Veloso hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Wanderson Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Doni Proença got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Shamrock United's Valdomiro Nascimento got a free kick in the 65th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Eduardo Alvarenga in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Tinoco saved Indios SS from getting behind. Henrique Pires came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Indios SS's Hernani Sanches. But to his dismay, Hernani Sanches quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Henrique Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernani Sanches in the 86th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Carlos Eduardo Alvarenga got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Indios SS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
