Henrique Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After a rather tough play, Shamrock United's Lenílson Veloso got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 8th minute of the match Hudson Brodel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henrique Pires showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Henrique Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrique Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Dante in the 14th minute of the match. Henrique Pires was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Doni Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Álvaro Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Umbuzeiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shamrock United the free kick. After 26 played minutes Umbuzeiro got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Lima. 27 minutes into the match, Umbuzeiro's goalkeeper Doni Ramalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jefferson Bezerra. In the 29th minute, Valdomiro Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henrique Pires didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Álvaro Lima went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Henrique Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Vergílio in the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Vergílio in the 36th minute of play forced Shamrock United's goalkeeper Henrique Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramiro Dante struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Henrique Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Umbuzeiro. Henrique Pires was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute, Frank Camargo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henrique Pires was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After the first half Umbuzeiro were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute Frank Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Shamrock United's Jefferson Bezerra got a free kick in the 58th minute. Henrique Pires was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ramiro Dante showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 64 minute of play.
