Gil Azevedo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Vivaldo Vale 16 minutes into the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Gil Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sev Hortolândia's Vivaldo Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Sev Hortolândia's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Azevedo came free, but Vivaldo Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Enéas Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vivaldo Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Terra in the 26th minute of the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd match minute, Brasília FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. Gil Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Vivaldo Vale made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sérgio Nunes in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vivaldo Vale saved Sev Hortolândia from getting behind. Wanderson Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd match minute, Brasília FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. Rui Barbosa made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Zagloul Bolt sent off a good shot on target. If Wanderson Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Gil Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Terra in the 62nd minute of play forced Sev Hortolândia's goalkeeper Vivaldo Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Felippe Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69thth minute of the game Gil Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sev Hortolândia's Vivaldo Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sev Hortolândia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Despite this Vivaldo Vale quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rui Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th match minute, Brasília FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Linares to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gil Azevedo in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vivaldo Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 82 minutes into the game, Zagloul Bolt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
