After a defensive mix-up in Arabela's zone, Arnaldo Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Catarinense came out of the goal and Arnaldo Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 10 minutes, Maurício Amorim made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Arabela's Cipriano Catarinense tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th match minute, Arabela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válter Furtado to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurício Amorim in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cipriano Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When STEAUA BUCALESTI's Maurício Amorim in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arabela's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Vasconcelos in the 25th minute of play forced Arabela's goalkeeper Cipriano Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano Catarinense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício Amorim's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Maurício Amorim scored 0-4 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cipriano Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnaldo Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Cipriano Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 34 minutes, Arnaldo Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The audience was convinced that Maurício Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cipriano Catarinense was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. If Arnaldo Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnaldo Vasconcelos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Cipriano Catarinense when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Arabela getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Luís Fernando Simões hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as STEAUA BUCALESTI's Arnaldo Vasconcelos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cipriano Catarinense. That made the score 0-9 after 84 minutes of play. Arnaldo Vasconcelos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Cipriano Catarinense skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 91 played minutes STEAUA BUCALESTI got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Augusto de Andrade. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, André Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arabela's supporters rose to their feet, but André Jacinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ranko Tobă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to STEAUA BUCALESTI getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Giacinto Facchetti hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, STEAUA BUCALESTI's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Diniz came free, but Ranko Tobă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Arabela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. STEAUA BUCALESTI were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
