Flu Galático's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luciano Cerezo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The wind increased when Durval Miranda made the kick off in the second half. If Luciano Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Jefferson Bastos hit a great ball. Flu Galático's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Victor Furlan struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ismael de Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flu Galático. Luciano Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Velasco having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Flu Galático's goal looked a bit too open when Durval Miranda came free, but Antônio Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute Durval Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Luciano Cerezo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Antônio Velasco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Corinthians fans cheered their team off the field, for while Flu Galático had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
