54 minutes into the match, Buritizal's goalkeeper Marcelino Rolado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chicão Vaz. Mazinho Motta came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Buritizal's Hernán Barco. But to his dismay, Hernán Barco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Buritizal's supporters crossed their fingers, but 秦文战 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 73 minutes, Didier Drogba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buritizal and the Imperial FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
