Rodrigo Mendonça came out of the goal and Manfredo Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of The Huge Tortoise FC booed when Buzz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, The Huge Tortoise FC's Rodrigo Mendonça got control of the ball when Dino Aguiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Buzz's Manfredo Sabóia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Buzz's Manfredo Sabóia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rodrigo Mendonça. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. Rodrigo Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olívio Paiva in the 29th minute of play. Olívio Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Mendonça having to interfere. Rodrigo Mendonça acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 35th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Danilo Rosa. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Manfredo Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buzz's supporters rose to their feet, but Manfredo Sabóia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dino Aguiar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rodrigo Mendonça firmly grabbed it by the left post. Leandro Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelinho Batista in the 42nd minute of the match. Rodrigo Mendonça stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manfredo Sabóia's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Dino Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, The Huge Tortoise FC's Gernando Guimarães got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Manfredo Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Mendonça having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Buzz's Manfredo Sabóia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61st match minute, The Huge Tortoise FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. Dino Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Mendonça having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dino Aguiar in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 67 minutes into the match, The Huge Tortoise FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Sabóia came free, but Rodrigo Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfredo Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dino Aguiar might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigo Mendonça. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dino Aguiar ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute, Olívio Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romeu Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeu Linares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to The Huge Tortoise FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Romeu Linares hit a great ball. Dino Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Rodrigo Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Buzz's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
