An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Guilherme Diniz in the 8th minute of play forced The Huge Tortoise FC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Marcelinho Batista fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cipriano Catarinense, passed just outside the right post. In the 11th minute, André Jacinto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrigo Mendonça was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Rodrigo Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válter Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antônio de Andrade's late challenge caught a The Huge Tortoise FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antônio de Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. André Jacinto scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodrigo Mendonça, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luiz Guilherme Diniz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Mendonça read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Cipriano Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Batista in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Arabela's zone, Marcelinho Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Catarinense came out of the goal and Marcelinho Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Loureiro hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Jacinto in the 34th minute of play. André Jacinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arabela's André Jacinto got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrigo Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Luiz Guilherme Diniz took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodrigo Mendonça. Rodrigo Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 44thth minute of the game Luiz Guilherme Diniz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Huge Tortoise FC's Rodrigo Mendonça was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Huge Tortoise FC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Mendonça, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

In the 53rd minute, André Jacinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Arabela booed when The Huge Tortoise FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléberson Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Rodrigo Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeu Linares during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Romeu Linares kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Arabela's Luiz Guilherme Diniz got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the game, André Jacinto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Rodrigo Mendonça was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcelinho Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Catarinense having to interfere. After 80 played minutes The Huge Tortoise FC got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Medeiros. In the 84th minute, Romeu Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arabela's Luís Fábio Palmeira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 84th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for The Huge Tortoise FC. Álvaro Souza hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Luiz Guilherme Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Mendonça having to interfere. A collision led to Arabela getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Luís Fábio Palmeira hit a great ball. When Marcelinho Batista came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the The Huge Tortoise FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelinho Batista couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Arabela walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
