An unexpectedly hard shot by Durval Miranda in the 18th minute of play forced The Huge Tortoise FC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luciano Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Rodrigo Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But to his dismay, Adelino Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 28 minutes into the match, The Huge Tortoise FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Cerezo came free, but Rodrigo Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Durval Miranda went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, The Huge Tortoise FC's Ulysses Custódio got a free kick in the 41st minute. Durval Miranda scored 0-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodrigo Mendonça, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcelinho Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ismael de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 60th match minute, The Huge Tortoise FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeferson Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durval Miranda in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Mendonça saved The Huge Tortoise FC from getting behind. The supporters of Corinthians booed when The Huge Tortoise FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinícius Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball.
