Amadeu Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in AC Milan's zone, Amadeu Couto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro do Valle came out of the goal and Amadeu Couto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yan Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Pinheiro having to interfere. Dida Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 18 minutes, Robinho Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robinho Maciel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robinho Maciel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodoro Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Veados's zone, Robinho Maciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dida Pinheiro came out of the goal and Robinho Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute of the match Cléber Seco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciro do Valle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yan Paraíba was the one to do the kick off. Yan Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Pinheiro having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Amadeu Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veados's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Couto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro do Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 59 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Magno Sanches. 61 minutes into the game, Juan Matos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Milan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Veados the free kick. Juan Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Ciro do Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Nunes in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute, Orlando Nunes made a precise shot to the right of Ciro do Valle. AC Milan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 72nd minute, Magno Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Veados's Dida Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Sanches in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Veados's Orlando Nunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciro do Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It was a well-played corner which Teodoro Massa managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Orlando Nunes struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Ciro do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veados. Orlando Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeu Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro do Valle having to interfere. The supporters of Veados booed when AC Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernani Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeu Couto in the 97th minute of play forced AC Milan's goalkeeper Ciro do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The AC Milan supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Veados's performance. The match ended with a win for Veados.
