After having played for 14 minutes, Tom Boy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Havre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tom Boy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tom Boy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Havre's Jaime Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavinho Varela in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Tom Boy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Havre's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Boy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Alberto Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th play minute Carlos Fonseca came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jaime Paes. 1-0. In the 30th minute, Tom Boy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Alberto Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Boy in the 39th minute of play. Flavinho Varela hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Havre were awarded a corner. Hafriz Kang went to the cornerflag to take it. Havre's Hafriz Kang was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Alberto Eger in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Havre booed when Dormideira SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavinho Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Jaime Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Pinho in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Dormideira SC's Andrézinho Dias seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Andrézinho Dias the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Dormideira SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Andrézinho Dias had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dormideira SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! Havre's Gildo Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adalberto Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Eger having to interfere. Tom Boy showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. With his leg Carlos Alberto Eger managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Havre's Gildo Porto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 78th minute of the match, Adalberto Salgado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carlos Alberto Eger saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gildo Porto got free with Carlos Alberto Eger in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute, Havre's Gildo Porto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlos Alberto Eger. Carlos Alberto Eger yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Adalberto Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gildo Porto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Carlos Alberto Eger made a huge save. In the 98th minute, Gildo Porto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Alberto Eger was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4.
