Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Amadeu Couto took the kick off in the first half of the match. Orlando Nunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Alberto Eger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Nunes ran back to his position shaking his head. Veados's Dida Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Pinho in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Dormideira SC's Kaká Pinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dida Pinheiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Orlando Nunes struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Carlos Alberto Eger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veados. Amadeu Couto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Carlos Alberto Eger made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Nunes got free with Carlos Alberto Eger in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Dormideira SC booed when Veados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Flavinho Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Amadeu Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeu Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Carlos Alberto Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Amadeu Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Carlos Alberto Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Couto in the 51st minute of the match. Kaká Pinho was extremely unlucky when he, in the 53rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Kaká Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Carlos Alberto Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dida Pinheiro was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joel Sanches. If Orlando Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amadeu Couto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Alberto Eger having to make a save. Carlos Alberto Eger came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Veados's Amadeu Couto. But to his dismay, Amadeu Couto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Dormideira SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
